When is summer season?
Summer swim season typically runs mid May thru mid July.
When is winter season?
Winter swim season typically runs mid November thru mid February.
How do practices work?
We practice 5 days a week unless the pool is being used by another team for competition. We encourage swimmers/families to make at least 3 practices a week (we understand other commitments besides swim).
What do the practice groups look like?
The team in divided into 4 groups that practice between 6:30-8:30, with the younger kids having a 45min practice and the older kids 60-90min. See Practice schedule.
How much does winter season swim club cost?
Cost is $200 for the season per child. If your child swims on the middle school swim team, it is $150.
What are invitationals?
Invitationals are meets that have more than 2 teams competing. They are optional and will take place in December on Fridays or Saturdays.
What are dual meets?
Dual meets consist of 2 teams, sometimes 3. The meets will take place on Saturdays in January. The Championship meets will be held around mid-February.
What is the process for deciding swim events for each swimmer?
The coaches will decide the events each child will swim in at the dual and tri-meets. The parents/child decide on what events they want to swim at invitationals.
Is there a cost for the invitational events?
Yes. Every invitational is different, but most are $5 per event per individual and can do a maximum of 4 events.
How do I know if my child is ready for swim club?
Basic requirements for 8 and unders is to be able to swim one length of the pool on their front and one on their back without any signs of struggle. These don’t don’t have to be perfect strokes by any means but they do need to be comfortable in deep water as our pool has no shallow end. 9 and older need to be able to swim 2 lengths of the pool to participate in swim meets.
